About Us

My photo
Erica
Mississippi, United States
I'm a homeschool mom to three wonderful children. We follow a Charlotte Mason educational philisophy. We believe that "Education is an atmosphere, a discipline, a life". We strive to use a hands-on approach to our education. Our ultimate goal is to instill, in each of our children, a deep love for learning. To help achieve this goal, we expose them to a wide variety of educational opportunities such as: poetry, nature studies, art appreciation, composer studies, classic literature, and yes, even Shakespeare! What makes home schooling so much fun is that we all are learning, myself included!

Great Charlotte Mason Quotes

“Nourish a child daily with loving, right, and noble ideas... which may bear fruit in his life.”--Charlotte Mason,1842-1923

"A student, in answer to Charlotte Mason's question as to why she had come to the school said, "I have come here to learn to teach. Charlotte Mason responded, "My dear, you have come here to learn to live."

"Adults should realize that the most valuable thing children can learn is what they discover themselves about the world they live in. Once they experience first-hand the wonder of nature, they will want to make nature observation a life-long habit. All people are supposed to be observers of nature and there's no excuse for living in a world so full of amazing plants and animals and not be interested in them." Vol. 1 Pg. 61
